Be Younger
You
can be younger than your chronological age. How old you are by the calender
is your chronological age. Your physiological age is how old you are by
the condition of your health. By the calendar, you may be 45 but by your
physiological age you may be 35 (or maybe 55 ... oops).
There
are many things you can do to lower your physiological age.
-
Vitamins - One of the easiest and most effective steps to take the
correct amounts of the proper vitamins. There have been many scientific
and medical studies done on the associations between vitamins and
health. These studies have shown reductions of cancer, heart disease,
stroke, and death associated with taking certain doses of certain
vitamins. Many of these studies show 30-60% reductions. For the most
part these studies showed benefit only in doses quite different (usually
larger) that what is found in standard multivitamin formulas and also
well above what is found in a so-called healthy diet. Some vitamins
(iron, beta carotene, and vitamin A for example) have been shown to
be harmful when taken as supplements at all and even worse in high
doses. Others can be troublesome or less than fully effective if taken
in the wrong form or quantity.
We recommend BCEF-1 vitamins which will give you the beneficial doses
of the correct types of vitamins to reduce your physiological age
by approximately 2.25 years.
-
Take a calcium supplement with' vitamin D - Take a 600 mg calcium
supplement with 200 units of vitamin D twice a day. This will allow
you to reduce or stop drinking milk (the reduction of milk intake
may be where much of the benefit lies) . Citracal 600 Plus D is an
excellent calcium plus D supplement that we recommend. These are usually
taken one twice a day. Calcium sometimes can be constipating, if that
is a problem, please let us know. This will reduce your physiological
age by 1.5 years.
-
Eat ocean fish - Eating ocean fish two portions per week will reduce
your physiological age by about a half a year.
- 4.
Avoid gum disease - Brushing your teeth after eating and flossing
every day and seeing your dentist twice a year for cleanings are very
important. Make sure you are completely free of dental and gum disease.
This will reduce your physiological age by one to two years.
-
Avoid cigarette smoke - Eeing a nonsmoker will make you 2.5 years
younger and smoking will make you 2.5 years older for a five year
difference.
-
Avoid second hand smoke - If you are exposed to second-hand cigarette
smoke for three hours a day you will be 2.5 years older.
-
If you are a woman over age 50 or a man over age 40 then you should
take a baby aspirin (81 mg enteric coated aspirin) and be a % of a
year younger.
-
Go for a brisk walk 20 minutes four times a week and be 1.25 years
younger. Lift weights 10 minutes four times a week and be 1.25 years
younger. (If you have high sugar, diabetes, prediabetes or high insulin
problems, you should get 10 to 15 minutes of brisk walking twice a
day for 2.5 years younger, rather than just four times a week. This
is because each time you do this, your insulin levels or sugar levels
improve for about six hours.)
- Increase
the fruits (four a day) and vegetables (five a day) in your diet and
you can be one to two years younger.
-
Get your blood pressure under 120/80 and you can be 1.5 years younger
(three years younger if you are starting above 151/96).
So,
now you are 18.5 years younger! Kow do you feel?! You didn't do it all?!
. . . start with #1 and 2 and work from there. BCEF vitamins are available
